Steve and his team undertook a remodelling of much of our ground floor, including removing the fireplace/chimney and fitting steel beams (which required some unexpected work to the foundations given the structure of the house). Steve also oversaw the replacement of all our ground floor internal doors (including the creation of a pocket door in the kitchen), and remodelled and replaced our kitchen, including new floors throughout our kitchen (with underfloor heating), dining room, and downstairs study, bricking up a door in our kitchen and replacing it with a large window and installing new patio doors from the dining room. Steve and his team were conscientious, professional, efficient and tidy throughout. Where there were delays or complications, Steve kept us fully informed and managed a complex project incredibly well. All advice Steve provided on the project was excellent, as was the finish. We are delighted with the work and could not recommend Steve highly enough.

We were looking for someone to build a traditional-style brick wall at the front of our house, in keeping with the Victorian character of the street. We came across Steve as we were admiring some work he was doing in the local area, and went with him not only because his quote was so reasonable, but also it was clear that he put in the time to research other similar walls and suggested ideas based on these. He also talked us through the best choice of bricks to blend in with the house. When it came to doing the job, Steve was punctual, tidy, courteous and efficient. He turned up when he said he would, it took the amount of time he had promised, and he tidied up after himself each day. We are incredibly pleased with the end result, and have had many positive comments – including from our next door neighbour who said it had improved the whole street! We wouldn’t hesitate to use Steve again for any future work, and would absolutely recommend him.

In recent years we have employed Steve Owers to do a variety of work ranging from garden landscaping and paving to the building of a substancial brick porch. On all occasions we have been happy with the end product. During construction, he has been considerate in keeping areas tidy and safe.
