We re-built this Cumbrian stone 'Bank Barn' and converted it into two substantial four bed houses, both of which are three stories, and a two-storey, two bed cottage. The building has beautiful views of Lake Windermere and subtly blends with the surrounding national park of the Lake District. The project was very eco-friendly, incorporating high levels of insulation, passive gains, air tightness construction and MVHR Heat Recovery. The building envelope achieved an air-tightness equivalent to Passive House Silver. This project won best New Home and most Energy Efficient Project at the FMB North West Master Builder Awards 2017.
