We re-built this Cumbrian stone 'Bank Barn' and converted it into two substantial four bed houses, both of which are three stories, and a two-storey, two bed cottage. The building has beautiful views of Lake Windermere and subtly blends with the surrounding national park of the Lake District.
The project was very eco-friendly, incorporating high levels of insulation, passive gains, air tightness construction and MVHR Heat Recovery. The building envelope achieved an air-tightness equivalent to Passive House Silver.
This project won best New Home and most Energy Efficient Project at the FMB North West Master Builder Awards 2017. Read more about the North West and Yorkshire & Trent awards here.
