Solid Oak block parquet flooring was laid herringbone with a 2 board boarder. This was all glued down with flexible flooring adhesive.
The property had been extended serval times throughout the years but never to a professional standard. This meant with the help of Angela Chung our interior designer we needed to transform the layout completely. The project has been undergone in phases, within phase one we have added a rear extension with walk out balcony from the master suite, New gable end, Dormers, Master suite, kitchen dinner, utility room, boot room, along with external cladding. To do this we have added a total of 22 individual steel beams to the property to allow us to remove all the internal walls and redesign the entire property. This project is currently undergoing the design of phase 2.
Within this project we have converted the rear of the property into a self contained annex for the clients mother. During this we moved and added internal walls, Added a rear extension while also fitting a second small kitchen and a disabled friendly shower room. To make up for the space lost downstairs with the new annex we also converted the remaining area of the loft by adding a flat roof dormer, This gave the customer an extra room upstairs. The brief was to match all the new aspects of the house in with the existing. The customer and her mother was extremely happy with the outcome.
The client wanted to firstly divide the garage into two halfs, one side an office space, the other more of just a storage space, But with this divide they didnt want to loose any natural sunlight. To enhance the natural light we fitted a roof lantern, This let light into both sides. We split the room with a set of Glazed bi fold doors and a storage unit with a glazed back, This let the light flood through from both sides. We formed all storage cupboards out of MDF with a handless detail, Each cupboard was made to measure the contents of the cupboard. This was finished with a rustic Oak karndean floor to allow easy cleaning but still look the part.
