Thompsons (Blackpool) Ltd are a specialist building contractor that undertakes both new build and refurbishment projects nationwide, largely in the commercial, residential and leisure industries. Our current client base includes Wagamama, Vapiano Ltd, Breamar Group, Gioma (UK) Ltd, Oxford Hotels and Inns, Welcome Break, Punch Taverns, Lancaster University and Timpsons to name a few.

We take a great deal of pride and personal involvement in every aspect of our company’s day-to-day operations and feel that this commitment ensures hassle free cost effective handovers for our much valued clients. We currently employ a number of experienced site managers and with the support of the senior management team, an in house 10,000 square foot joinery manufacture and polishing facility and services of direct employed construction personnel, enabling us to operate up to 10 sites at any one time.
This company structure, coupled with a dedicated snagging and maintenance team, gives us the capacity to manage a wide variety of contracts ranging from £10k to £1.5m and include new builds, night work refurbishments, fit-out projects in larger leisure developments and everything in between.
At the heart of our success has been a mutual respect for fellow employees and directors alike. This teamwork has been an extension to the family based origins of the company. The future of our management structure is most encouraging as the directors are still relatively young and the management staff is youthful, committed and ambitious.
We are a financially stable company and this stability has been maintained throughout our history. Directors review cash flow and cost control on a regular basis. There are no loans or mortgages against the company properties and we enjoy a positive trading balance.
Most of our work comes from commercial shopfitting for restaurants and bars, but we also have our own workshop for bespoke joinery and a polishing shop. Finally, we also undertake new build and refurbishment work for residential buildings, including private dwellings and larger multiple occupancy buildings such as student lets.
