Jamie Burch of Totem Construction Ltd, and his team have been responsible for the complete renovation of my 17th century property. The property had been rented for more than fifty years, had stood empty for a year before I took ownership, hence, it was sorely neglected and in a state of total disrepair. The property required new windows, doors and the addition of a new conservatory; installation of an oil fired central heating system, a complete rewire, replumbed, removal of asbestos, new kitchen and bathroom. Openings were created to change the usage and layout of some of the downstairs living area; in the garden many trees were needed to be removed to open up a space for the creation of a driveway; extensive groundwork was required to improve the drainage system and install several soakaways, the garden around the whole of this period detached property have, also, been completely remodelled. The property is now magnificent evidence of the benefit of the expert and sympathetic renovation that has taken place. Jamie and his team have been totally professional throughout the whole process. Jamie has produced expert workmanship throughout, has offered sound advice when necessary and has ensured that his team also deliver workmanship that matches his own high standards. The project refurbishment has been extremely well managed by Jamie and I have found his costings to be very fair. Jamie and his team have made, what could have been an extremely stressful and frightening responsibility, an exciting and enjoyable experience and I now have a beautiful home of which I am very proud. I look forward to continuing to work with Jamie and his team to undertake some more work that I have commissioned Totem Construction to carry out in the New Year.
