Rebuild and refurbishment works to Bristol Roof

West Country Works were asked to investigate damp in this Bristol homein the summer of 2018.
We surveyed the roof and found the Gable wall had vegitation growth and roots attacking the structure resulting in  crumbling brickwork that also left the chimney in a dangerous position. The Risk Assessment highlighted potential collapse of the chimney which would have demolished itself into the neighbouring properties entrance path. 
The gable wall was reduced and the chimney carefully removed. Sections of wall were removed for further investigation. The top section was rebuilt with dense concrete blocks and once weathered concrete coping stones together with a new rooftile on breathable felt and treated battens. Stainless Steel bellcast beading and dressed code 4 lead gave the completed rebuild a really spectacular finish.
