Summary

Laying our passion onto the craft since 2011. We are builders with a mission to build, improve and expand living spaces for the people of London.

 

Eight years since our inception, AFL Construction has always striven to deliver its utmost on all its undertakings. We are out in the search for greater achievements and to continue doing what we do best.

Build.

Whether your project is an extension, conversion, loft, renovation, open play layout, or an overall complete refurbishing. We have done it before, and we will do it again - always to the highest standards and always with passion for quality. The AFL team is happy to help with all residential building projects.

We provide a tender pack consisting of a quote and a program within a few days since visiting the site for simple projects, and a couple of weeks for more complex ones.

We can also work from pictures and drawings. We can foresee problems and costs for solutions, as we have plenty of experience from many types of property refurbishment builds. Starting from old and crumbly period houses to modern properties. We also keep an eye on new technologies such as the 'Passive house'.

We embrace digital technology; using online estimating software for accurate quotes and tenders. We use WhatsApp Messenger for agile and easy communication between the AFL, the client and inside the team.

Our office is currently based near Wimbledon Park, our service covers the South-West, South-East and Central areas of London.

Our typical project budgets are in between 10k - 300k.

DORMER/LOFT CONVERSION PECKHAM

Conversion of empty loft space into dormer with zinc cladding and aluminium low profile window of size approximately 2.5 meters. Extending of existing Bathroom into the part of dormer and refurbishment which included:

  • Concealed toilet and piping system
  • Electrical underfloor heating
  • LED strip and spotlights in the ceiling
  • Bi-folding bath screen
  • Custom made rooflight installation

2 STOREY EXTENSION IN CATFORD

2 storey extension in conservation area with traditional, yellow London stock brick finish in order to preserve building’s original look.

Scope of works included:

  • Building of 2 storey side extension
  • Shower room fitting in the part of new building
  • Existing Bathroom refurbishment with free-standing bath and wet room enclosure
  • Kitchen replacement including installation of island

Each room has been equipped with dimmable spotlights.

Existing boiler has been replaced with more energy efficient Valliant and additional Hot water cylinder in order to achieve higher water pressure in the house.

HOUSE ALTERATIONS AND REFURBISHMENT IN WALTHAMSTOW

The works included involvement of many various trades.

Structural works - Structure rearrangement of existing extension by relocating patio door to allow for installation of more ergonomic galley Kitchen with additional benefit of letting more light in. Creation of open plan Living/Dining room with installation of steel beams in place of walls.

Kitchen fitting - installation of new Kitchen with replacement of boiler. Additional electrical underfloor heating has been laid below the tiles.

Adjoining Toilet - small Toilet has been build next to the Kitchen.

Bathroom Fitting - complete refurbishment of existing Bathroom.

Flooring - existing pine floor planks have been sanded and varnished.

Custom joinery - building of understairs cupboard, alcoves cupboards, replacement of staircase rail and installation of sliding door system.

Electrical - replacement of white sockets with new stainless steel.

Decoration - sanding and varnishing of floor in the Living/Dining room, decoration of walls, ceilings and woodwork.

Roofing - replacement of extension roof covering with new slates.

REFURBISHMENT OF APARTMENT IN ROTHERHITHE

Refurbishment to high standard of finishes based on architect’s drawings and specification.
 
Internal layout has been changed and arranged to combine ergonomics and functionality.
 
Living room consists of open plan kitchen, bright dining room and spacious glass study room allowing to keep an eye on children when working.
 
Entire apartment has been equipped with wireless switches and dimmers operating LED lights across the space.
 
All radiators have been replaced with electrical underfloor heating allowing to control via thermostats as well as mobile app for each room separately.
 
Another key features are: custom made joinery, sliding pocket door systems, suspended ceilings and Kitchen island.
