RJ Bacon Builders LTD is a family business based in Metton, Norfolk. Robert and Sue started the business in 1992 and it now has a directly employed team of fourteen tradesmen, over half has been with the company for more than 10 years, which along with supporting sub-contracted trades (including plumbers, electricians and specialist trades) form a professional, friendly and polite workforce. With  this extremely experienced team and their vast areas of expertise we undertake all aspects of work within the industry from new builds to renovations all completely project managed by ourselves from start to finish. Sue and Cindy in the office deal with enquiries, planning and communication throughout our projects, our aim is to provide clients with a quality personal service from start to finish.

In addition to Robert's 35 years experience within the building trade he also began a professional development diploma in the conservation of historic buildings interiors and sites, under John Ashurst, in 1999 for which he qualified in 2007, this qualification allows us to also offer conservation and restoration of historic and listed properties, covering both domestic and commercial projects along with consultancy services on listed buildings. His son Jack followed in his footsteps when in 2007 he also began the professional development diploma in historic building conservation & repair, qualifying in 2015. 


  • Professional Development Diploma in Building Conservation which permits us to work on scheduled monuments (of the highest historic value)
  • All tradesmen are either City & Guilds qualified or hold NVQ qualifications
  • Virtually all employees have a basic First Aid qualification
  • Health and Safety is very important to us and we regularly hold in house training days along with taking specific specialist advice to ensure that all our employees are competent and conversant with the latest legislation.
