As a partner of the Homebuilding and Renovating Show (HB&R), the FMB attends consumer shows throughout the year, and across the UK, to promote the benefits of choosing a Master Builder.

The shows help to bring self-build specialists, renovation experts, homeowners, and big brands together to share knowledge and advice and to showcase new products and services. Each show features exhibitors, masterclass presentations, seminar sessions and a dedicated Advice Centre. It is a popular go-to event for those who are planning to renovate or build their own home.

At the shows, we speak to hundreds of homeowners, many who are embarking on their first home renovation or new build project, about the steps to consider and how to choose a quality, reliable builder.

When is the next HB&R Show?

The next HB&R Show will take place from Thursday 23 March to Sunday 26 March at the NEC in Birmingham.

The show runs from 10.00am until 5.00pm each day.

Want to share your knowledge at the Advice Centre?

At each show, we invite FMB members to take part in the ‘Ask an Expert’ sessions as part of the show’s Advice Centre, which is a very popular feature of each event. At the Advice Centre, visitors can book a 15-minute appointment with a range of home renovation experts including FMB members as well as architects, finance advisors, and planning professionals.

Those taking part in the Advice Centre will help to answer questions from homeowners, which may range from costs and budgeting to technical information or general guidance on what steps to take.

Each Master Builder that takes part will also have an opportunity to promote their business to visitors as well as being featured on the HB&R Show website as an expert. Social media graphics can also be provided so that you can promote your involvement in the show online.

What's involved?

  • You will need to commit to one full day at the show and you will be required to be at the venue from 9.30am until 5.00pm on the date(s) you sign up for.

  • Lunch and refreshments will be provided for you on the day.
  • You will need to provide a clear headshot image and a brief summary of your experience and services ahead of the event to be published on the show website.

Secure your place at the Advice Centre

If you’d like to enquire about taking part in the show, please email [email protected].

There are a limited number of places available at the Advice Centre, so please enquire as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

We also invite and encourage members to join us at the FMB stand at the show to help offer guidance to homeowners who stop by with building questions. If you’d like to be involved in the show, but can’t commit to the Advice Centre, this is a great way to take part. Please email [email protected] if you are interested in joining us.
