We commissioned Abbey Building Contractors to build a rear extension to our 1930s semi. The extension resulted in a new open plan family room totalling nearly 60 sq. m utilising the kitchen and part of our lounge/diner in the existing house and knocking through the rear wall across the width of the house into a new ground floor extension with pitched roof and underfloor heating throughout. We lived in the house during the works, which lasted 16 weeks. We are absolutely delighted with the finished extension and could tell Matt, Chris and all the Abbey team take a lot of pride in their work. Overall, the experience was a lot less stressful than we expected, which is saying something as a family of five with a two year old! It has completely transformed the ground floor of our house and we have no hesitation in being able to recommend Abbey. We now spend all our time in the new family room and absolutely love it!
