About Us
At StuartBarr CDR our mission is to provide a better build experience for our clients and in doing so, positively influence the wider construction industry. We endeavour to provide excellence in construction, by truly caring about the requirements of our customers, the quality of our workmanship and the impact of our work on the environment.

Founder and director, Stuart Barr, initially trained in cabinet making and set up his own company in 2002. Within a year, a contract with the National Trust was secured and soon the company was on the National Trust top 50 suppliers listing, leading to larger contracts with the Dorneywood and Chequers Trust, as well as larger private clients. Heritage projects, eco-builds, and varied commercial contracts have all been an integral part of the organisation’s growth and diversification.

The Barr Group later grew to include BarrJoinery (est. 2009) and BarrKitchens (est. 2012), born out of the need for tailor made products up to the standards of our clients. The fourth company in the Barr Group portfolio is TRAKD, the business management system which underpins the Barr Group companies. TRAKD is now a commercial entity in its own right, supporting other small to medium sized construction businesses and advocated by the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) as an industry benchmark.

Sustainability
StuartBarr CDR aspires to and emphasises minimising the environmental impact of our work. We always assess the environmental and social impact of each project, taking into account waste, recycling, neighbourhood impact and pollution control. Wherever possible we reduce the consumption of non-renewable raw materials related to both construction and administrative operations. The company consistently raises awareness of environmental issues amongst our workforce through formal training and stringent site standards, including efficient use of energy, water and transportation. StuartBarr CDR offers advice and support on the inclusion of environmental considerations at project design stage.
