The roofing project at the Edward Marsh Centre involved a comprehensive program of works to both high- and low-level roofing areas, aimed at improving the building’s overall weatherproofing, durability, and long-term performance. The scope included detailed inspections, targeted repairs, and the replacement of defective materials to ensure the integrity of the roof structure was fully restored.

Works to the high-level roofing focused on addressing wear and deterioration in exposed areas, requiring careful access planning and strict adherence to health and safety protocols. At low level, the project included remedial works and upgrades to ensure effective drainage and prevent water ingress, contributing to the longevity of the building fabric. Throughout the project, particular attention was given to minimising disruption to the day-to-day activities of the community centre, ensuring it could continue to serve local users wherever possible. 

At Lothlorien in Kinver, one of our main focuses was the construction of a cantilever patio, a challenging endeavor due to the site’s difficult conditions and the nature of building on sandstone. This required meticulous execution to ensure structural integrity and safety especially given the sandstone base which can present challenges for anchoring. We also built a modern apartment style second floor above the pre-existing garage. This second floor featured a bathroom, a bedroom and an open lounge area which overlooks Kinver.

This project involves the construction of two high quality, modern residential houses on the grounds of the Balaji temple. Each house offers contemporary living spaces and premium finishes. The work here included building two new build houses from scratch and elevating the interior with premium installations.

We recently completed a construction project at the British Legion, which involved building a new function room extension. The project included constructing a 60m2 extension/infill, a new entrance lobby, and new steps and access ramps on the west side. Throughout the construction, we made sure to minimize noise to avoid disrupting the Legion's activities. Additionally, we maintained high standards of health and safety by implementing site set up plans, complying with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations, and providing method statements for all work to mitigate risks.

The work we carried out at Compton House in Enville involved a historical refurbishment that included a high-level gable restoration. For this project, we had to ensure that the building was maintained in its original period style, and that all materials were sourced to match the existing property to preserve its historical integrity.

Kildonan was one of our first projects in Wombourne and it was carried out over a 26-week period. The project involved refurbishing and extending a non-designated heritage asset next to a locally listed property within a conservation area. The goal was to create two retail units with offices above. The work included clearing the site, demolishing existing structures, building side and rear extensions, making internal alterations, and providing a basic fit-out such as adding kitchens and new WC facilities. Additionally, minor remedial work was done to the front of the property and the front car park of the adjacent property was resurfaced.

This was our first project working with Enville Estates at Beck Projects. However, employees of BPL have been working with this client for over 8 years. As a result, our client trusted us with the refurbishment of Million Cottage. We carried out asbestos removal works, minor roof repairs, replacement of rainwater goods, new windows and external doors, new plasterboard and decoration, small alterations to the layout, new kitchen, new sanitaryware, and mechanical and electrical works.

This project was carried out for our client Jane Marsh and here we carried out roofing works which consisted of stripping back the existing roof and re-roofing with reclaimed handmade clay tiles. This work also consisted of a new lead roof. The primary consideration we had on this project is to ensure the safety of our workers working at height, this risk was reduced by ensuring relevant RAMS were put into place.

Here we built a £615K industrial unit for our client at Raybloc Ltd, Willenhall. We were taken on by Raybloc to provide our project management services on this development. This included helping with budgeting and negotiation with the client and programming the project to ensure that the project runs on time. This was our first ever project at Beck Projects Ltd nonetheless, due to our great knowledge within the construction industry and the relationships we like to build with our clients this project was delivered to the highest quality and on time.
