This new build property built for our clients and will consist of the main house and detached garage.
The main construction of the house is timber frame with stone and timber clad exterior with a steel and sedum roof. The idea of the Passivhaus is to reduce the buildings ecological footprint, be ultra low energy in heating the building.
Months of development have gone into this project, so far for our clients, to help ensure the house meets the high standards of Passivhaus.
We are super excited and proud to have been able to achieve the Certified Passive House status for our client who have now moved into the property and enjoying their amazing new home.

The project consisted of refurbishment of the … Read more We love working on special building such as this recently completed refurbishment of a Grade II listed cottage in Marsden. The project consisted of refurbishment of the internal areas along with new side extension and rear oak sunroom.Keeping in place original features is really important to maintain the character of the cottage. The features such as the mullion windows, stone door surrounds and timber trusses were all exposed in the final finish.
The open plan living area bring together the fitted kitchen and sunroom. A multi-fuel stove was installed in the sunroom finishing off the cosy feel.
Upstairs has a light airy feel as you climb the oak and glass staircase leading to the landing with three bedrooms, including the master ensuite and a spacious family bathroom. The family bathroom as well as having a lovely bath has a large walk in shower.
Underfloor heating was installed to the ground floor areas and traditional column radiators were used for the heating in the bedrooms and landing.
The new owners are moving in very soon and they are very much looking forward to enjoying their new home.

Together with the oak timber truss extension giving a spacious feel and created further seating for the restaurant and bar area.
Bifolding doors opens up the front of the extension overlooking the trees and river below.

A driveway was added, as well as landscaping the garden area.
?The original stone archway and exposed beams were retained and brought back to life.
?The client fell in love with the finish of the property, which takes advantage of valley views.

I recently contracted Byram Construction Ltd to build a large extension and 4 luxury hotel rooms for my pub The pickled pheasant. I would have no hesitation in recommending them , the quality of the work was first class and was delivered on time and on budget. The building team were hard working and talented and the site manager and company directors were always available to discuss any issues. ? If you are thinking of contracting them feel free to come to the pub and have a look at the quality of the work, you will not be disappointed.

During the summer of 2018 we had considerable alterations to our home, including an extension on upper level and knock through from utility to kitchen. From the start of this project and initial meeting with Wayne we sensed immediately that we would be working with someone who was dedicated to getting the job done. Wayne provided detailed quotes and information regarding the whole process of the building work to be carried out. We had seen previous examples of his company’s work and knew we would be getting a quality job. Wayne and his team worked really hard at translating our vision into reality and we were thrilled with the end result. We couldn’t have asked anything more from the standard of work from start to finish. We always knew where we were up to paperwork wise thanks to Deborah working behind the scenes.
