We created a stunning extension to this listed stone property in rural Leicestershire. The client wanted to maximise natural light while maintaining architectural harmony, so we installed a steel A-frame to support a fully glazed gable with aluminium bifolds and roof lights. The new space transformed the original kitchen, opening it up into a bright, spacious dining and family area that flows beautifully into the landscaped patio and garden. Careful attention was paid to preserving the character of the building, with Clipsham stone walls and a slate roof that mirrors the existing structure. We also built a second extension to the entrance hall using reclaimed brick, finished with a traditional Victorian-style tiled floor for a timeless welcome. A standout example of heritage-sensitive construction, combining old with new.
Read lessWe extended a modern home in Leicestershire to create a peaceful family room with a vaulted ceiling, plus a separate home gym space for all the family to enjoy.
The vaulted ceiling was supported by a hidden steel structure, while decorative oak trusses and a cloaked oak A-frame added a warm, traditional feel.
A beautiful double-sided fireplace helps zone the open-plan space and brings a cosy focal point to the extension.
To maintain the home’s character, we echoed the client’s original modern timber panelling throughout. This project blended modern country style with clever structural solutions to create a home that feels both stylish and practical.
Read lessThis kitchen extension in the East Midlands was for a local client who’s also a friend—so getting it right really mattered.
The original design was beautiful but costly, with a fully glazed wall and hidden steel structure. Working closely with the homeowners, we helped redesign the build to make it more budget-friendly without losing the modern, open feel they wanted.
We replaced large areas of glazing with high-quality brickwork, reduced the overall size of the windows, and simplified the structure. The result? A stunning kitchen, dining, and family space that looks clean, modern and light-filled—at a much more manageable price point.
This project is a great example of how we work collaboratively with clients to adapt designs and still deliver on both style and budget.

Read lessThis project began with a simple idea — to turn part of a family garden into a new home for the next generation.
Our client owned the neighbouring house and secured planning permission to build a two-bedroom semi-detached property for his son. To enable the build, we rerouted the existing underground drainage and utilities serving his home and the adjacent property — careful planning and precision were key.
The build itself was traditional brick and block construction with a concrete beam and block ground floor, modern insulation throughout, and efficient layout design.
The finished home includes a bright open-plan kitchen-diner, spacious living room with bay window, vaulted ceiling garden room, and French doors onto the landscaped garden — perfect for first-time living.
Delivered on time and on budget, this was a meaningful build that added both value and purpose.
