OUR STORY
We were founded in 2010 by builder and designer Steve Gauterin, who has over 19 years’ experience in the industry. We are an established, family-run business who love and take great pride in what we do. Over the years, we have built our business across Wrexham, Chester, Heswall and the surrounding areas upon impeccable reputation, high standards and word of mouth recommendations. Our customers are happy and our work speaks for itself.
Our journey began in 2002 as Steve started his career as an apprentice. It is here that he began to build his expertise and fine-tune his craft in building homes and extensions and installing kitchens and bathrooms. Then in 2010, Steve took the leap and started out on his own, not only building and installing but also designing luxury living spaces. Thus, Cedar Joinery & Building was born!

Steve and all the tradesmen at Cedar Joinery are fantastic. As soon as we met Steve, we know that we wanted him on our project. His quote was very detailed and accounted for every finer detail-his attention to detail is impeccable. We came into trouble getting out the ground but Steve took it in his stride and reached out to relevant individuals to solve the issue. We faced a design shortfall (not at the fault of cedar joinery) and Steve managed to design a workaround (it was to do with the staircase) and it’s now one of our favourite features. We had a complete remodel and extension and Steve was involved in the entire project. He helped us choose a kitchen design, offering his knowledge/expertise along the way. He even designed a unique feature with the kitchen island, which we love. The joinery is spot on. Communication was fantastic and any issues were presented with a solution already in place.
