We prepared full working plans and sent them to building control for approval.
Once we got the ok we removed the chimney breast, electrics, plumbing, windows and made a large opening in walls for the French doors and new windows.
My clients will save on energy lost due to the fact we fitted insulation to the new walls and floor, plus the new double glazing windows/doors were fitted with Low E Glass which has a hidden layer which considerably reduces the loss of heat and mirrors interior heat back into your home.
New plumbing and electrics were installed ready for the kitchen company to install the new kitchen.

The project consisted of patio doors, large flat glass window and casement window.
All windows and doors were fitted with Low E Glass which has a hidden layer which considerably reduces the loss of heat and mirrors interior heat back into your home.
The new extension walls, ceilings and the floor were insulated this will help 100% with energy loss.
The floor space to the ground floor was an increase of 25%
The clients wanted to reuse the existing kitchen which we managed to do and all we had to replace was the worktops.

We designed and built the house extension with Bi-Folding Doors, Velux Flat Roof Windows, plus new Kitchen with oak wood flooring.
The big plus having this kind of home improvements is the amount of insulation that goes into the new and existing building to meet building control regulations. It is a win-win for the savings the client will make on their energy bills. Also the best of all is the floor space was increase by 20% plus which is a big plus for any family home!!

They constructed a large outside dwelling in the back garden. They demonstrated exceptional quality of work and the quality of materials sourced have been impressive but still cost-effective recommendations, this room can now be a multiple purpose room. Good standard professional project management, which incorporated our needs and wants at all time. We really benefited from their years of experience in the construction experience - which helped us with the design. We are really pleased with the very solid foundations and durability. Customer service and value placed on the 'customer experience' was great. They responded immediately to phone calls and emails which made the whole journey during the build a less stressful process for us. We would definitely use again and again if we need a construction company. Thank you.

As you probably recall we were a little apprehensive when we first embarked on this project as it was our first time having any building or renovation work done. We needed a loft conversion and full house refurbishment to a Victorian terraced house extension, rewiring, new plumbing etc, involving a lot of work. Charles’ quote was the lowest of the three we got but his service, and the results, have been to an excellent standard. He has been patient, considerate (we were living in the house during the build!) and very sensible in planning ahead and anticipating what needed to be done. He made very intelligent suggestions about how to maximise our space and get the best from the loft conversion. He has also stuck to his quote to the penny, which is hugely reassuring, there has been no “cost creep” on the project beyond extras that we decided on, and asked for, along the way, and Charles has been dead straight in all his dealings with us. His company handled the plans, planning application, party wall agreements with our neighbours etc as well, so everything involved in the project was taken care of for us. Having builders in your home for six months is never going to be an easy experience but CHC made it as painless as possible: I would recommend them, and Charles, unreservedly.
