Barn Conversion, Wexham

This project involved the stripping out of an existing, listed, timber framed barn. The existing timbers were protected and supported whilst the entire building was underpinned and new supporting plinth walls built up under the main frame.Infill panels were constructed between existing timbers and the structure was lined and clad externally. Adjacent storage buildings were incorporated into the structure.

An existing detached property was demolished and the site cleared. A new property was constructed on the site. The property was built to a very high specification for insulation value and exceeded the Part L requirements for airtightness. Doors, skirtings, architraves and staircases were all in oak finish. The property consists of five bedrooms, three of which are en-suite, two further bathrooms, kitchen, utility room, services cupboard,lounge, dining room, study/office and integral garage.
