Old failing slated roof with a problematic chimney, and very poor guttering so we replaced the full roof after dropping the chimney to below roof level, adding a modern look using an anthracite flat tile half bonded with a head nail fixing and all cuts glued and nailed for additional strength, we also fitted a timber structure Bel cast to have a secure fixing for the fitting of a new white upvc roofline around 3 sides of the building leaving a complete stand out of perfection and complete peace of mind for our customer who kindly left a 5 star review on trustpilot under the name of Charlotte Beadie who was absolutely delighted with the finish and the service. We also assisted the neighbours by strengthening up their gutter system by adding some extra brackets and stop ends at the divide split. Both myself and the client were very happy with the finish on this project. We will continue to always be raising standards and take great pride in delivering excellence!

On this project the roof was stripped, membrane installed, a complete re batten of 19mm counter battens and re roof, sarkin boards were still in good condition so no change was needed. Roofline was also built up to match clients neighbours next door. Wall plate was also re done and UVPC fascias and gutters have been completed and installed and meet building regulations.

Re-Slating Project in West Kilbride

We are currently re-slating a bungalow in West Kilbride using premium 16x8 Spanish slate, working alongside a reputable local builder. Our specialist slaters are on-site, ensuring top-notch craftsmanship for a spectacular final result. The project is nearing completion, and the new slate roof will provide both durability and a refined aesthetic to this beautiful bungalow.

This project involved a full roof replacement and chimney removal for a double semi-detached property in Ardrossan. The original Marley Major tiles had reached the end of their lifespan, so we replaced them with modern grey double Roman tiles, finished verge to verge for a clean, streamlined look.

Both chimneys were removed to below roof level, and we installed fully ventilated ridge and verge systems, significantly improving airflow and roof performance. The result is a highly durable, low-maintenance roof system that’s built to last in the Ayrshire coastal climate, delivered with precision, care, and attention to detail.

Our scope of work involved a full re-slate roof replacement to complement the newly converted loft space, as well as the removal of two disused chimney breasts, making way for a modern log burner installation at the gable end.

Due to the nature of the loft conversion and the high level of detail required, this was a particularly time-intensive project. However, the result speaks for itself — a beautifully finished roof that enhances the overall look and value of the property.

This project involved a full roof replacement on a 200m² bungalow in Inverkip, over 60 years old and heavily weathered by the coastal climate. The original tiles had become brittle, so we installed smooth brown Northstone Derrie tiles to a clip-and-nail spec for added durability. We removed all old cement ridges and valleys and replaced them with modern ventilated systems to improve airflow and extend the roof’s lifespan. Positioned 100m above sea level, this property now benefits from improved protection, a fresh aesthetic, and a 15-year workmanship guarantee. The transformation has already led to two more bookings on the same street — a testament to the team’s professionalism, strong work ethic, and quality finish.
