Cornerhouse Building Contractors Ltd is a family run building business based in Earls Barton, near Northampton. Our management have been based in Northamptonshire for the past 25 years and this is where most of our business is carried out.

 

We have built up trusted contacts with many of the architects and construction professionals in the local area. Our experience encompasses a wide range of projects within the private, public and commercial sectors. Some of our current clients include a nursing home, a range of schools, and many private domestic projects including listed building work. We have the expertise and professionalism to take on any type of construction project and offer a high level of personal service.

 

Our services include New Build contracts and Refurbishment works in all sectors for private and commercial clients. Cornerhouse offer traditional and Design & Build Contracts, working alongside local Architects and Structural Engineers, as well as a complete Design & Build procurement process.

Case studies

Garden Room Extension to Listed Building

Constructed around a steel frame, this garden room is finished with full height glazing to the new external facades. The new room is connected to the existing kitchen with a new opening in the existing stone wall, supported with a structural steel “picture frame”. Other elements to this project are a new slate patio and retaining walls with some upgrading to the existing rainwater harvesting system.

New Stone Garage

Cornerhouse built this large stone garage from scratch, constructed with a reinforced concrete retaining wall and steel frame. The external walls were built with Collyweston lime stone, and Northamptonshire iron stone bands were inserted to match the existing listed dwelling house.
