Harry was just 16 when he started his apprenticeship. The 8 hour manual working days straight from school were tiring, but Harry persevered, showing commitment by always arriving on time and even offering to come in on Saturdays to do extra work to progress his learning.
During lockdown and unable to go into college, Harry used this time to concentrate on finishing his portfolio. This wasn’t easy as he had come out of hospital after being critically ill from Covid, so was exhausted, but he was determined to get his qualification. He was so keen to continue his development and not lose his skill set that we were amazed to have him return to work fully only 6 months later.
His practical skills have developed exceptionally, where we are confident to give him his own projects for clients ranging from shed doors to oak door frames. Recently, he showed outstanding practical skills by making a window from start to finish.
