The firm was established in 1998 by Matt Elgood. After a maths degree at Manchester and a successful career as a project manager in the technology sector, he decided to apply his organisational and client-handling skills to the domestic building industry.
Elgood Builders undertakes all manner of domestic projects from new builds to total refurbishments to extensions to loft conversions, including structural work, roofing, plumbing, electrical, tiling, bespoke joinery and decorating.
We offer the complete range of building services to transform your house into the home of your dreams. This can include project definition and scoping, either working directly with an architect or the homeowner. We can also introduce homeowners to architects and structural engineers if required.
Our relationship with our clients is our priority and we view each and every project as a joint venture with a shared goal. Everyone has a vision of their completed job and whether you’re an architect or a homeowner, our job is to bring your vision to life. We do this by using experienced and skilled tradesmen who take a huge pride in their work. Our staff always aim to over-deliver with the quality of workmanship and finish.
Over the years we have built up a large pool of accomplished tradesmen to call on, allowing us to take on domestic projects of any size. The quality of our work is reflected in the fact that we don't have to advertise. All our work comes through recommendations from satisfied clients and architects. If references are required, previous clients and architects we've worked with are always happy to provide them.
We have extensive experience working with eco-friendly products such as those supplied by Natural Building Technologies and Wetherby.
We work predominantly in the Greater London area.
We're delighted to announce we've won the BUILD Infrastructure Awards, Best Residential Refurbishment Contractor - South East England award for 2018
