Exel was formed in 1993 by its present owner and Managing Director, David Thoroughgood. In 2004 David’s brother, Derek joined when Morcas Builders was merged into Exel bringing more expertise to the business. Our Head Office is based in Raynes Park, south-west London, close to excellent road and rail links to our operating area in the South of England. The Company’s experience and expertise ranges widely across development, new-build and refurbishment. Its skill extends to design development in conjunction with the client and professional advisors, where appropriate, providing a high level of value engineering by its investigative approach to materials selection and construction techniques. Since 2009 Exel have been involved with projects using off-site manufactured buildings and this has become a core part of the business. With the continuing pressures on the industry to build to Code Level 4 and above together with zero-carbon targets we believe this form of sustainable construction is the future. Exel’s whole philosophy centres around Client satisfaction with a commitment to the highest of standards carried out with the professionalism normally associated with larger contractors.
