This lovely project was a large single storey extension with smaller 2 storey extension above.

As well as the external works we opened up from the new extension into the existing house, requiring a 800 kg steel that we craned into position.

Internally we reconfigured the ground floor layout, installed 80m2 of porcelain tiles over new electric underfloor heating throughout the ground floor. A new media wall was built as a feature for the clients new open plan living area. The kitchen was spruced up with beautiful new stone worktops. 5 metre and 3 metre sliding doors were supplied and installed with flush thresholds in preparation of the new patio enabling seamless transition from indoor to outdoor living space.

Upstairs we created a new bedroom and en-suite.

The brief for this project was to convert a run down bungalow into a stunning modern home for the owners to retire in. We also completed landscaping of a driveway.

Every room was reconfigured and a side and large rear extension added. 90m2 of floor space was added to the original footprint. This entailed digging new internal foundations, with extensive steel works internally and cranked roof beams to support the large flat roof on the rear extension. New triple glazed windows and doors and composite front door were supplied and fitted.

Once the bungalow was watertight a full rewire and replumb was undertaken. Plastering internally, monocouche render externally. We created a beautiful new kitchen, utility, 2 bathrooms and all floor and wall finishes which completely transformed the original property.

Forsyth Construction Surrey built a single storey extension, together with replacement of all the windows, at the rear of the property earlier this year. It involved significant structural work and also quite challenging to tie in the extension to the existing house. Mal and his team did a great job, from the very start of the project to dealing with the various issues that inevitably crop up at the end. Communication was always prompt and clear. We made a few changes during the project and Mal was flexible and pragmatic in dealing with these. Mal and Jason, the site manager, work hard to ensure that the quality of the work is of high standard. They also have some long standing sub contractors that also work hard to deliver quality workmanship. We are really pleased with how it has turned out and have no hesitation in recommending Mal and his team.

We found Mal (Forsyth Construction) very personable and straightforward to deal with. He was always true to his word, helpful, and motivated to do a good job. He was employed to significantly reconfigure and extend our bungalow over a 9-month timescale, and this was achieved in spite of some additional work we requested within the period. The costs were broadly in line with our budget, and Mal did well to overcome mistakes made by our structural engineers. All of his team were helpful, and in general, we were very pleased with the quality of the work. Any problems we identified were quickly corrected without any difficulties. I would strongly recommend Forsyth Construction to anyone undertaking a house improvement.
