The primary objective of this project was to provide a long anticipated single family rural home for the Thompson Family.
Jonathan and his wife Emma are a professional couple who have planned this transition for themselves and their four children since 2019. Jonathan holds the significant role on the project of both client/end user and architect.
The brief for the project was a 5 bedroom house with associated support accommodation. An attached garage was also an important consideration and from the outset there was a clear objective to build as environmentally a friendly home as the budget would allow.
At the time of the building design Jonathan was Associate Architect for a well known Belfast practice, however for the development of the design for the house, he operated in a private capacity. He was supported by Structural Engineer ADD Consulting and M&E Engineers AH Design.
