Double-Storey Side & Rear Extension with Home Gym – Ongoing Project by Grifford Interiors Ltd

Grifford Interiors were appointed to design and deliver a full double-storey side and rear extension, including a purpose-built home gym and extensive internal reconfiguration of the existing property. The build is now approaching 80% completion, with all structural works, roofing, and first-fix stages successfully delivered to our usual high standards.

Our scope has included:

• Full groundworks and substructure with new foundations, drainage runs, and reinforced slab preparation.

• Steel installation and structural framing to create the open-plan rear aspect and gym area.

• Roofing works incorporating new ridged and hipped sections, completed in traditional clay tiles to tie seamlessly with the existing house.

• High-performance underfloor heating system, fully installed and pressure-tested prior to screed.

• Insulation, boarding, and plastering throughout the new extension to achieve a clean, modern internal finish ready for second-fix joinery and decoration.

• External envelope with new render, feature glazing, and detailing to match the original property, ensuring a cohesive and contemporary aesthetic.

Once complete, the project will deliver a stunning transformation — blending new living space with a dedicated fitness suite, designed for both function and architectural balance. Grifford Interiors have overseen all trades and quality control from start to finish, maintaining efficiency, precision, and client satisfaction throughout the build.

Grifford Interiors were appointed to deliver the full internal fit-out and finishing package on this stunning new build property, working on behalf of our client from first fix through to final completion.

Our scope covered all interior works including joinery, plastering, plumbing, electrics, tiling, and full decoration, ensuring a consistent high-end finish throughout. Every element—from bespoke internal detailing to fixture installation—was carried out with precision and care to achieve a refined, contemporary look in keeping with the property’s modern design.

In addition to the interior works, Grifford Interiors also captured and completed the full exterior landscaping package, transforming the surrounding space into a functional and visually balanced setting. This included paved patio areas, lawn preparation, raised timber planters, fencing, and decorative planting to create a seamless connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces.

Working closely with the client and design team, we coordinated all trades to deliver the project on time and within budget. The result is a beautifully finished, energy-efficient home that reflects the attention to detail and quality craftsmanship synonymous with Grifford Interiors.

We first encountered Natalie & John when we renovated there bathroom back in 2019. We fitted a new wet/bathroom for them which they where overjoyed with. We then got talking and into discussing bigger projects they had in mind such as wrap around extension. We started to plan with a view to remove 4 or 5 structural walls including external walls. All playing a major structural relevance.

We began to form a plan and they, I & Mark from Mas Design started to paint a detailed picture of what was going to be involved to create their dream kitchen. From conception through to completion we kept them up-to-date and involved running them past every stage of the build everything it entailed.
