We worked with Hall and Son Building Services during much of 2023 on a renovation and extension that has transformed our little Cambridge 30s house into something really special. James, Charlotte and their team bought into our vision and worked tirelessly with us to make it happen. We would highly recommend them - they are professional, thorough, and most importantly they communicate and liaise closely with their clients and with the authorities throughout the process. They listened to us carefully and respectfully, and they have a good sense of humour, which is essential! At the end of the project we all felt a sense of joint success in transforming our house. We appointed Hall & Son Building Services Ltd to carry out the new extension works on our home, while we were still occupying the house. James and his made every effort to ensure we were safe and kept well informed of the building work progress. The work took 5 months to complete and was completed well before Christmas as we had requested, and credit goes to the whole Hall & Son team for their great efforts to get the construction completed on time and within budget. I would have no hesitation in recommending Hall & Son for home renovations or building works.

We are so pleased with our extension which was finished on schedule. James and Charlotte run a most professional business in a timely manner with trades working seamlessly with staged payments. Every trade worked to a high standard and were respectful towards us and our property. Their employee Gary fitted the windows perfectly noticing where snags were and overcoming them. We were delighted with the work by Hall and Son, which was completed to a high standard. Our job was quite a complicated loft conversion involving raising our roof by 1 meter which we were quite apprehensive about undertaking - however, Charlotte and James were always reassuring by being available for queries and were quick to resolve any issues when they arose. The core team were all very friendly and pleasant to have working in our home. Also, every effort was made by James to ensure that the job was completed to our specification and preference. We would recommend them to others without hesitation.

Hall and Son transformed our leaky garage into a functional space by re-roofing and adding a small utility room extension to the existing structure. They were incredibly helpful throughout the process, from the initial contact with the office, to the folks that carried out the work onsite, all were friendly and helpful and willing to answer any questions we had about the process. We are very happy with the quality and finish of the building work and the extension matches the original garage building very well. The cost of the works and the payment schedule was as described on their quote.

I cannot recommend Hall and Son more highly. I had been extremely anxious about extensive repair work that needed to be done on the house and they solved all my problems. All the work was done to an extremely high standard; all the team were experts, warm, caring and approachable; everything was carried out on time and on budget and there were no delays at all.
