We hired Hartness Home Improvement to fit a kitchen, install new doors, & fit new floors. We highly recommend their services & are hiring them to fit our bathroom as a testament to their amazing work.
Lewis is a strong communicator providing updates from first contact & throughout, with daily updates provided each day. He ensured we were happy with progress each day & gave us opportunities to raise concerns we had to ensure they were addressed quickly.
The team fit everything to a high standard, including small adjustments that might go unnoticed. The other trades that Lewis hired & managed on our behalf were also of a high quality.
Lewis & his team were tidy workers, leaving the work site in an orderly manner each day; important as we had pets & young children. At the end of the works, they also spent time cleaning the worksite.
Lewis was able to identify & suggest solutions following any challenges, & worked with suppliers on our behalf to ensure they were implemented quickly.

We recently used Hartness Home Improvements to remove an internal wall and lay a new wooden floor, and we’re very pleased with the outcome.
The team was professional, turned up on time, and communicated clearly throughout the project. The wall removal was done efficiently, and the area was kept tidy during the process. The new floor looks great — neatly installed with a high-quality finish.
Everything was completed to a high standard and within the expected timeframe. We found the whole experience straightforward and stress-free.

Lewis has been amazing through out this project. We had several ideas of what we wanted to do .This was not a conversion, we wanted a to created some storage within the loft. What Lewis given us is a loft with lots of storage, but also a usable space. It’s effectively another room. He constantly us through the project and had lots of innovated ideas about what he could do with the space we had. We are delighted with the results,
He has fitted a new loft ladder,
Insulated and sheeted the eves, creating 2 large storage spaces in each of the eves that can be accessed by bespoke doors. The central area is now a usable space with a window.
Every evening Lewis and his apprentice would clean up any mess and my carpets and wooden floors were protected throughout the project.
All waste was removed and was not left to gather and the driveway was washed down several times which I really appreciated as we share the drive with our neighbour. I would recommend Lewis for any project you had.

Lewis went above and beyond fitting my kitchen. Because it’s an old building, problems occurred but he dealt with them with ease and proactively. The finish looks phenomenal and he did extra work to make it look great. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Lewis and his intern did a fab job installing a new internal doorway into the garage.
Speedy, attention to detail and left the place clean after everything was done.
The plastering work was perfection, will blend right into the existing plaster board wall once painted.

SUPERB BESPOKE SUMMER HOUSE.
We were initially uncertain of what could be built in the space but we were advised in a pleasant and knowledgeable manner as to the possibilities. Any changes in the specification , by us, were undertaken patiently and professionally. Lewis managed the project incorporating the various trades, personally , and the build was completed to what could only be described as excellent and exceeded our expectations . Lewis is undoubtedly a perfectionist and extremely hard working.
This was a substantial structure consisting of a summer house incorporating a separate internal potting shed . Furthermore the project was well priced .
We would highly recommend LH joinery and would certainly use them again .
