Andrew Stone and his team created a lovely new kitchen for us and so we were confident that they would undertake our loft conversion successfully. That proved to be the case. Andrew’s overall control meant that all building rules and regulations were fulfilled and the timetable for the work proceeded efficiently. Wayne Phillips worked on and oversaw the onsite activities in a faultless way. He worked every day and always arrived punctually; he produced high quality work throughout. High Spec builders are rightly proud of their reputation and demand the highest standards of work from all the craftspeople they employ. So carpenter, roofer, plasterer, electrician, plumber, decorators all produced high quality work and slotted into the timetable smoothly. The project was therefore completed in good time and without any holdups. We were consulted and informed of progress throughout and always treated with friendliness and consideration. The result is a delightful room with an en suite toilet and useful storage space which has enhanced our home and our lives. We are sure that anyone who works with High Spec Builders can expect the highest standards of work and service.

Loft conversion with ensuite bathroom. 'High Spec Building Ltd were recommended to me by a friend who had also had a loft conversion. From the outset, Andrew and Hassan were professional and punctual. The team who worked on my project were highly skilled, polite and explained each stage of the project so that I was able to make any alterations to the original plans, if necessary. They were also extremely tidy, which was important to me. I was out at work during the day, so I needed to feel confident that my house was secure, as well as being treated with respect, which I always did. Andrew was available at each stage to discuss any concerns that I may have had and responded swiftly to my texts or phone calls. The result of the project is a stunning and very spacious loft room, with a stylish ensuite bathroom. My neighbours are very envious - and I have recommended High Spec Building to them in case they are thinking of doing the same.'

High Spec building Ltd We appointed High Spec Building Ltd to convert the bathroom in our bungalow which we purchased earlier this year, into a fully accessible walk-in shower room. Right from the outset at the first visit to scope and price the work and choosing materials, fixtures and fittings Andrew and Hassan listened to our needs and while making suggestions at no time were we pressurised. The work itself was undertaken speedily, professionally and to an extremely high standard. We were very pleased with whole process and cannot recommendations them more highly.

We are delighted with our new kitchen extension and the internal renovations. The quality of the work and the care to attention is outstanding. The service we received from Andrew and Hassan was first-class throughout, from the initial site visit through a complicated and often challenging build, to final completion and aftercare. Having a client work from home put an additional onus on everyone, but I can honestly say there was not a single day throughout the project that brought any reason to complain about any aspect of the build. The team was efficient, on time every day, never missed a day, worked as cleanly as could be expected and were unfailingly polite, cheerful and professional. The result is a stunning addition to our home that will fill us with immense pleasure every day to come, and an excellent memory of the summer spent building it. Thank you to the whole team, but especially to Hassan and Andrew for a great effort.

Thank you to Andrew, Hassan, Carl and team! Work completed February 2018, (Bathroom remodel, re-instateing an old bathroom, associated drainage & re-roofing)- Extra's during job, fixed 2 hugely 'bodged' walls from previous DIY. Really friendly and professional team from start-finish, my partner and I called several builders, Andrew from High Spec was one of them, and he spent the most amount of time with us understanding exactly what we wanted and what our vision was. He then offered advice & suggestions throughout but were especially appreciated at the beginning. Availability & estimated start times where given, and as we were all quite flexible it worked really well, once agreed, start times were stuck too and communication throughout was clear. Closer to the start date, Andrew introduced us to Hassan who would be managing the build. The whole build went smoothly (even with the few historic hidden suprises along the way) and whilst any building work creates dust, the team treated the house with respect and tried to keep it as clean as possible. During the build ensured we had adequate facilities and everything we needed was reconnected at the end of each day, luckily we have friends who didn't mind us showering around theirs for a couple of days. Due to the historic surprises during the build (the 2 previously bodged walls that were uncovered) the estimates did go up, Andrew/Hassan supplied us with a comprehensive breakdown of the extras and what we were being charged for. As it pushed us over budget initially, and these walls really needed fixing, we had to make some compromises elsewhere, but Andrew gave helpful suggestions on things that could be removed from the build that got us back on budget. If we had to do it all again, we would definitely go to High Spec Building without hesitation, although with hindsight would do a couple of minor things differently. Quality of the finish is super and we are very happy

We recently hired High Spec Building to put in an upstairs bathroom, remove the old downstairs bathroom and open up/extend the kitchen and install a new kitchen design. I can not recommend Andrew, Hassan, and team highly enough. We are extremely pleased with the end result. They are professional, reliable and trustworthy. I was home alone with my son for most of this project and I felt completely comfortable being alone with the team. They were also very patient with my inquisitive 3-year-old! Andrew kept me up to date with any issues that came up and also kept me up to date with the budget. They were always here on time and worked tirelessly. The team is very friendly and all of my neighbors commented on this. I will most definitely be recommending them to any friends and we will also use them again for any future work. We used High Spec Building for a renovation in our Grade II Listed town house. The project involved a renovation to an early 20th century single storey extension at the rear of the property. This involved removing a chimney and wall, exposing the internal roof and fitting roof-lights, lowering the external ground level in order to address issues with rising damp and carrying out some limited under pinning. In addition High Spec Building built a new En-suite Bathroom into the existing first floor bedroom. High Spec Building worked to a high professional standard throughout, from first meeting through to completion. Their ideas and knowledge of working in similar properties meant that we changed initial plans for roof lights based on their suggestions and were delighted with the final product. High Spec Building were very considerate throughout the project. We lived in the house throughout the project with a small child. High Spec Building were transparent throughout the project and always addressed potential issues immediately with clear descriptions of how issues may impact on timescale and cost. Despite several unanticipated challenges High Spec Building delivered the project to within one week of initial projected completion date. We could not recommend them more highly. We are delighted with quality of finished product, professional approach and the care and consideration they put into every aspect of the project.

Testimonial. We have recently renovated a dilapidated end of terrace Victorian 3 bed house in Heavitree, Exeter. Andrew Stone and Hassan Serag-El-Din, the brains behind 'High Spec Building', carried out all the work along with their team. Fundamentally, the whole project has all gone very well, and we are very pleased with the end result. All the work (which included major works such as a loft conversion, a 4 flue chimney rebuild, and new kitchen) was of top quality. What was also particularly good was that everything was costed individually so we knew exactly where the money was going. Thus when we changed the spec, we knew exactly what any extra costs would be, or where would could save some expense. Andrew and Hassan were remarkably quick and efficient with the work. They came back very promptly at the end to fix any outstanding minor issues. Also, their ideas to get round the odd problem during the build, were very logical, and sensibly thought out. Of particular note was the way they liaised with the neighbours, keeping them onside, by co-ordinating when the noisy stages of the work were carried out. Everyone who did the work was very personable, and easy to be around. Having any building work done inevitably involves some stress, but all in all, to the total credit of Andrew and Hassan, this was almost entirely mitigated. I would certainly have them back to do any future building work, and could not recommend them more highly. We are quite happy for people, who may be prospective clients, to visit and inspect the works for themselves.

Our loft conversion was carried out by Hassan and Andrew at High Spec. From the very first meeting, through quotations and working on site, they understood our needs, took on the design and carried it out professionally, courteously and competently. Andrew’s long career in both trade experience and classroom construction teaching gives him know-how in a depth to match Hassan’s enthusiasm and craftsmanship. Between the two of them they have a wide reaching local network to bring in expertise as necessary to complete any given project. Throughout the project they treated our small terrace house as a home, not as a building site, and were clean, quiet and considerate. Beginning work only after a week of our first child’s birth this was especially welcoming! I’d happily recommend High Spec both from an end user and in a professional capacity as an architect.
