We’ve recently completed a contemporary side extension to this detached bungalow, transforming the layout. A knock-through from the former kitchen has created a spacious new bedroom complete with a stylish en suite.

At the rear, the old conservatory and side garage were removed to make way for a large open-plan kitchen and dining area. This space features a vaulted ceiling, skylights and bifold doors that seamlessly connect the interior to the garden — perfect for everyday living and entertaining.

An old and overgrown concrete garage was demolished and we rebuilt it with bricks matching the extension on the house. A partition in the middle allowed for a dual use of this new space. New electrics and plastering for a laundry room in one half and the other was left for garden storage. 

This fully renovated home has been transformed from a dated 2-bed, 1-bath into a stylish 3-bed, 3-bath.

Upgrades include a new driveway and patio, a rear extension, and full internal reconfiguration to create a spacious open-plan kitchen and living area. Upstairs, a new master suite features an en-suite bathroom and Juliet balcony. All plumbing and electrics have been replaced, ensuring modern comfort and efficiency.

This project involved a lot of planning and teamwork with the Architect and structural engineers due to an old water well being discovered during the dig. In the end a modern kitchen/dining space was created and a patio/bbq area with bricks carefully sourced to match all the existing colours of an old Victorian home.
