We completed this project involving the demolition of an old stone wall, followed by excavation and the construction of a new reinforced concrete supporting wall. This was carefully faced in natural stone to retain a traditional aesthetic, with new Bath stone pillars added for character and strength. The Markson Group worked on what was essentially three projects at the same time for me - an internal room, a garden transformation, and painting and decorating - so they really got to show the range of what they can do. They did a brilliant job across all of it. The team were attentive and communicative, keeping me in the loop throughout, which made the whole process feel very straightforward and well managed. When additional bits came up along the way, they raised them early and got everything sorted without cutting corners. They’re very customer-first, genuinely personable, and a pleasure to deal with. I’d happily recommend them and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

Work commissioned was principally laying of new limestone terrace to the rear of our Clifton home. There was a lot of material to remove (old slabs, backfill and soil mixed with previous builders waste) before reinstatement could begin. Despite adverse weather conditions this was completed with great skill and care as access was difficult. The reinstatement and laying of the new limestone was done with great skill and we could see each stone was checked with great care for levels with a slight fall to ensure proper drainage. Some drain work was also required and the site was left in perfect order and the job looks superb. Can highly recommend Marksons for their professionalism and amenable workforce.

Markson did some work on my roof during summer 2025. Giles and the team were extremely professional and supportive from start to finish. The communication was excellent and I always had explanations about the work that needed to be done. The roof team really cared about my property and took great pride in their work. All the workman were polite and did their best to minimise any disruption. I can highly recommend this organisation and will use them again for any future projects.

Communication has been clear and concise, with regular email and text contact keeping us informed of progress and impending dates. All staff have been personable and polite, they have arrived on time and have left the site tidy and clear after each stage of construction. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
