Conor Mageean first came to our attention in 2021 when his mother reached out via social media about an apprenticeship. Conor independently contacted our director to secure a position as an Apprentice Joiner.

Conor had put the work in with his GCSEs at school passing his essential exams which qualified him to join the Apprenticeships NI at NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Site Carpentry and following a brief interview a Delivery Agreement employment contract was secured with us and South Eastern Regional College.

Completing Level 2 in 2023 with distinction in principles of construction, information and communication Conor progressed onto the next level with delight from ourselves and is currently completing his NVQ Level 3.

The ensuite was designed with a spa ambience. The bespoke shower area required the most design as this was the main area needing to promote independence. A structural half wall with a tiled finish provides this feature enclosing the shower but most importantly houses a foldable shower seat with support arms which was positioned following consultation with the clients to ensure maximum use of the double headed shower. It is finished with a rotating glass shower screen with a specially sourced fitting which allows it to stay in a fixed position or opened out into the bathroom space allowing assisted showering for our client. Marlfield sourced an air body dryer as the client could not use a towel independently. It was fitted into the shower area and the operation button specifically fitted so they could operate it independently. se.

First and foremost, Paul is a perfectionist who takes real pride in his work. He sets high standards for himself and expects no less from his employees and sub-contractors. It quickly became apparent to us that Paul is so conscientious and professional that we could trust him completely to make sure everything was done right. He enhanced the design by making suggestions for improvements such as different access to the roofspace which is now a really useful space.

Paul is a capable company director and was not surprised to find he had been top of his class in joinery.

His management of the build from start to finish left nothing to be desired. The quality of the workmanship is evident. If there were more tradesmen like Paul around, they would not get such bad press.

The main bathroom is situated on the 1st floor which can be accessed either by the feature walnut stained sapele staircase or the passenger lift which makes it functional and accessible for all users.

The whirlpool jacquzzi bath with overhead shower certainly gives our clients the choice of quick bathing or those luxurious hot soaks at the end of a busy day.

To continue that spa feeling the clients also had a steam room shower which could be used for stand alone showering or take a seat and let the steam relax the stresses of the day and provide some detox.

The bespoke vanity sink unit which had a quartz worktop also housed a very well detailed and most functional laundry chute which is fully lined and makes the clients laundry days effortless when they can just pop it down the chute and having it arrive in the laundry room on the ground floor.

The porcelain coloured units were of a plain but very effective design which complemented the main decor of the house but also has a stunning eye catching 'hague blue' coloured and curved Island which gives the kitchen the wow factor whether you enter from the hall or the lounges bifolding doors to this area.

The main ethos for this kitchen as a family home was to ensure that our clients could enjoy their family effortlessly having plenty of space for prepping and cooking those all important meals. The two undermounted stainless steel sinks seemlessly work under the silestone worktop with upstands and matching spashback behind their range cooker.

The clients can ensure that they can feature an uncluttered workspace by having their qooker boiling tap and also walnut lined coffee nook. This is certaintly a cupboard you don't mind your guests seeing inside of.
