Nik & Jel Services Ltd

Nik and his team did two jobs for us and was brilliant each time. The first was fixing a structural issue in our extension, which was done efficiently and (important given the nature of the work) with minimal mess and disruption. After that, we hired Nik again to refurbish our kitchen. The work was done on budget and in good time, and we were really impressed with the quality of the workmanship. This included flooring, tiling, carpentry and painting, as well as electrical, gas and plumbing work, which was all done to a superlative standard. As well as this, Nik was really great to have working on the project, offering advice when we were unsure about things and double checking on everything before starting a new part of the project. He also dealt with a couple of delays and unexpected issues very efficiently and without any fuss. So we would thoroughly recommend him!

Work started last July 2024. A 5 month project to convert a loft/en suite, plus extension of existing bedroom, & converted our office. Renewal of family bathroom. Renewal of all roof tiles. Installation of kitchen, new velux, utility, and downstairs wc in April 2025 for a further 6 weeks. I can't praise Nik and his team enough. They are all extremely hard working, prompt, helpful, friendly, very tidy (mopped and hoovered up every day) and knew exactly what they were doing from the start of each project. They worked 6 days a week from 8-4.30. There was never any standing around time wasting. Their work is precise and of a very high standard. I asked Nik on many occasions to do extra bits here and there and he'd never forget to finish any of my requests. We were lucky finding this company because it could have worked out completely different. So very happy with our house, and we'll most certainly request their help for any other future work we need. Thanks Nik & team for everything. 10/10

Nik did a fantastic job renovating my flat in central London. He was super helpful, always aiming for high standards and finding solutions. The team handled everything – rewiring, kitchen, plumbing, flooring, etc. I appreciated that I didn’t have to explain every little detail – they just got things right. His colleagues were respectful, punctual, and kept the site clean every day. Additionally, Nik helped to find a great deal on kitchen quatz worktop. I had no issues with neighbours during the six weeks of work. Communication was excellent, with frequent updates on WhatsApp. Nik is very accountable and transparent. The pricing was very transparent. I highly recommend them for any renovation work!

Nik and Jel were absolutely brilliant. And going forward I will be using them for all my future projects. His team work extremely hard, and the level of finish was exceptional. He clearly has a very skilled crew behind him. Throughout the project Nik and his team were constantly keeping me up to date with what was going on, so I had complete visibility as thing happened and progressed to there were never no unexpected surprises. Having a young family with very little kids, his team were very considerate of our situation. As you can imagine it can be extremely stressful when undergoing build work, but small things like keeping the place tidy after everyday makes a huge difference. Nik and his team were also very friendly and approachable. I was constantly asking them for advice and they would happily help. When unforeseen things cropped up, they were very helpful in resolving them and always fair in their quotes. Overall I couldn’t recommend Nik and his team enough. You get a honest builder who is no cowboy and won’t rip you off. You get a highly skilled team with a high level of finish. And generally a nice bunch of people who will help you through your project.

Nik and his workers completed a total renovation of my property including: * New plasterboards and skimming throughout * removing and replacing all ceilings; skirting boards, architraves and internal doors, external doors and several windows * laminated flooring throughout and coving * stripping and fitting kitchen and bathrooms (and tiling) * roof/roof space maintenance * render/skim external walls of entire property * prepared all internal/external walls and painted * new boiler/central heating * garden clearance/ replacement and refurbishment of garage * damp works I had several builders attend the property, having a brief look around quoted a figure (just wild guesses). Nik was very thorough - taking measurements throughout the whole house and providing lots of useful advice. Nik returned with a detailed written breakdown of costs. It was refreshing as I knew exactly what I was paying for in every single room! We had a hairy moment when it was discovered that the joist under the bathroom/ kitchen were completely rotten and beyond repair half way through the project. This was a good opportunity for Nik to take advantage financially but instead he was reassuring and the additional costs was much less than expected. The quality of works were high standard. Nik and his workers were polite, punctual and very hard working. As soon as works were completed, he carried refurbishments to my father house (again super work). Thank you Nik and Jel.

Nik and his team did a very good job replacing my kitchen and bathroom. Though not the cheapest quote I received, I am glad that I chose them. Both rooms look great and he was very accommodating during the job with some delayed deliveries. The work was precise, thorough and they cleaned at the end of the job. I would recommend them.

Where do I start....a 4 bathroom renovation turned into a full house renovation with a garage conversion! The project lasted 2 months and Nik&Jel's services were simply incredible throughout the whole time. The team of builders and craftsmen Nik has is first class, they are diligent, skillfull and always go the extra mile in understanding what we wanted. Our house looks incredible and it's all down to Nik and his team's hardwork and top rate professionalism. This was a partial reconfiguration and refurb of the rear of the flat. We cannot recommend Nik highly enough! This being our first home and our first refurb project it was all very daunting. Nik is a very pleasant person, was very respectful and patient when discussing the scope with a novice! Nik was prompt in responding from the beginning, we met Nik and discussed the works and received a quote within a couple of days. In comparison to other quotes it was not the cheapest but, it was the most comprehensive. Nik broke down each of the tasks discussed and itemised the costs. This was reassuring, helped us understand and justify costs. Throughout the project the site was always left tidy, the guys were always very prompt and stuck to the estimated job time. They were actually ahead of schedule and were only held up by delivery of our kitchen! Nik was easy to get hold of if we had any questions or wanted to discuss anything. During the job we decided to complete additional works, these were discussed, quoted and signed off with us before they were started. So there was good transparency of costs. The finish of the works is very good. Nik has returned to rectify a couple small issues (like turning light switches over so the branding is the right way up). So far we have been back in the flat for 3 months and are extremely happy with the work completed. Myself and my Husband would definitely use Nik again if we have more building work. Thank you Nik! EXCELLENT ! I employed Nik to carry out a complete refurbishment of a 2 bedroom flat for my daughter in Bow, including a new kitchen and bathroom (around £20k budget, 6 weeks work). Nik and his team were outstanding from start to finish - I have refurbished flats several times over the years and the service that Nik provided was easily the best I have experienced. Nik provided a competitive quote, carried out the work to a very high standard, was on time and on budget. He really cares about the quality of his work and is very focused on getting the detail right. Communication was always excellent - Nik is a straight talker and you always know that he will do what he says he will do. He has a great team. In particular, George who installed the laminate floor and built the kitchen was superb - a really hard worker who cared about the quality of his work. It has been a real pleasure having Nik carry out this work and I would absolutely recommend him.
