About Us
PHE Ward was established in 1966 by Peter Ward. Now run by his sons Michael and Martin Ward the company has built-up a first class reputation for high quality new build homes and major home renovations in North West Essex. In 2007 and 2012 the team was  a regional winner of the prestigious Master Builder of the Year award for a medium sized renovation in Chigwell and Abridge respectively. Today the team covers all aspects of building work including all the value-add extras executive clients expect such as, underfloor heating, home automation systems, rainwater harvesting, solar panels, automated gated entry systems, home gyms, steam rooms, architectural stone work and landscaping.
PHE Ward operates in North West Essex covering Chigwell, Abridge, Buckhurst Hill, Loughton, Theydon Bois, Epping and surrounding areas.

New Build - Winner of Best New Home at the FMB Eastern Counties Master Builder Awards 2017

PHE Ward constructed this stunning new build house, combining quality workmanship and cutting-edge design for a highly energy efficient home. One of the most unique parts of this build is the water feature in the front garden, which was made from stone found on our client's land that was revealed by archaeologists to be an early column from the original Houses of Parliament!
We were very proud of this project and were thrilled that it was recognised by the Federation of Master Builders, winning the best New Home category at the Eastern Counties Master Builder Awards 2017. Read more about the event here.

Five bedroom, five bathroom new build home for private clients, including solar powered hot water, underfloor heating, Lutron home automation system, glass floor, custom built steam room, curved oak staircase, bi-fold doors, rainwater harvesting system and automated sprinkler system, full security system, automated entry system and custom architectural stonework. Completed in 2010.
