The project consists of a piled slab foundation. The foundation has been dug within a warehouse unit which is going to support a silo, obstructions where encountered down to 1.2m so the piles have been drilled 2m deep, four 100Knpiles 2mx150mm have been inserted into the piles and then a reinforced steels cage has been installed into the excavation, this is then going to be filled with concrete creating the slab for the silo.
This project formed part of the vetting process to become a member of the Federation of Master Builders. The inspection was carried out by an independent inspection company.
