I found PJS Builders through the FMB site after contacting five other contractors who had been recommended - only two of which replied to me and only one provided a detailed quote, which was exhorbitant. PJS were brilliant throughout - from a speedy response to my initial enquiry, to Paul's site visit and follow-up meeting (where we discussed all aspects in detail, the quotation and contracting process through to completion. I really like the fact that PJS is a family business and I had complete trust in Paul, Janice and all the labouring / trades team who worked on my project (which was really important to me). The job expanded considerably from the initial brief, but I received quotes at every stage and Paul and his team accommodated all the extra work - some of which was very challenging with scaffolding being erected inside my hallway! - with exceptional attention to detail, care and consideration throughout. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend PJS Builders.

PJS replaced three old wooden sliding sash windows with modern high quality UPVC replacements on a supply and fit basis. Paul completed the work to time and cost as quoted and conducted the job with the minimum of fuss and and disruption. The work took three days and each night he left the job clean and tidy. I couldn't have asked for more. I recommend this builder to everyone.

PJS renovated our living room - work that included removing a supporting wall, electrics, plastering and decorating. Right from the initial enquiry they were a pleasure to deal with. Janice is super-efficient, any queries we had were quickly responded to and nothing was too much trouble. Paul is an absolute professional, his work is of a very high standard and he shows meticulous attention to detail. We used PJS to convert our car port into a garage and utility room. Paul worked in a very professional manner and managed the project well with his subcontractors. We have already had a number of compliments on the work done. Paul was also happy to carry out extra work which included fitting our new kitchen, and concreting and paving a base for our garden shed. P J S Builders carried out extensive alterations to my house earlier this year (2023) including converting my garage to a kitchen and removing the existing kitchen to extend, and improve, my sitting room including new bifold doors. Paul, who supervised, and carried out the works with the help of sub-contractors, was on site throughout the contract. The works were completed broadly within the agreed timescale and, (with the exception of agreed extra works) within budget. The standard of the work was high and Paul kept me well informed on progress and what to expect on a day to day basis. The work was well organised and the site kept tidy. I would have no reservations about recommending PJS Builders, Paul and his wife, Janice (who dealt with the costings and administration).
