Preece & Sons delivered a full barn conversion and renovation at Bishops Hall, transforming a derelict agricultural shell into a modern, airtight, energy-efficient three-bedroom home while preserving its heritage character. Works included full oak frame repairs, new insulated roof build-up, lime plastering, underfloor heating, bespoke staircase, feature glazing, and complete internal reconfiguration.

The project won both Midlands and National Master Builder Awards 2025 for its craftsmanship, technical delivery, and respect for the historic structure.

From beginning to end, we have had a very positive experience with Martyn and James at Preece and Sons. We have been well informed and advised all through the project and they have handled everything in a very professional manner. Lockdown was particularly difficult but they kept on until the job was finished. We would definitely recommend their services and would use again.

Couldn't ask for any more! I had my old kitchen removed and a new kitchen installed by the team they sorted everything for me and at a very reasonable price. Kathryn was approachable and very helpful in the office. They estimated a week for the job and they finished early. They were always on hand for advice. Would highly recommend James and the team.
