We moved house in 2024, to one with planning permission for an extension already approved, and selected RP Wood to do the building work for us. They started on the advised date, made good progress with the extension, and achieved a very high standard of finish. We were able to continue living in the house during the building and renovation work, and got on well with the builders who were friendly and helpful throughout. We are delighted with the finished work, done to a high standard, with very competent trades, and agreeing contract variations and price adjustments was easy too. I thoroughly recommend RP Wood.

Highly Recommended - RP Wood are a very professional firm of builders, who work to a very high standard whilst meeting agreed deadlines. They don't overpromise, they always deliver a high quality finish across the whole range of construction disciplines and they have a polite and friendly team. R.P. Wood built us a glazed extension, refurbished the ground floor and paved our front and back gardens. From our first meeting with Richard and Paul, we were impressed with their positive and professional attitude. The build was plagued with endless wet weather but Paul kept us informed and never were we left wondering if they were going to turn up. We stayed in the house throughout the build and they endeavoured to keep us as comfortable as possible the whole time. Every member of their team were a pleasure to have around and their workmanship was exceptional. They really were a team and the atmosphere was always cheerful and upbeat. They arrived first thing in the morning and did a full days work before tidying up and leaving the site in good order. The extension was built at the cost quoted and we received detailed invoices on a monthly basis. We would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy and professional builder.

Everything went well during the build and the completed extension and fitted kitchen was everything we wanted. Paul was very easy to discuss things with as things developed to ensure all was to our liking. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Very impressed with the work completed by RP Wood. The build took place in a very confined space with multiple limitations because of the location but Richard and Paul were considerate of the surroundings and the impact the building works had on the day to day operation of the organisation. As with all projects, there were some unexpected developments but these were resolved quickly so that the build was completed on time. The standard of workmanship was excellent during the building and the aftercare was also fantastic to ensure all the snagging was completed quickly. The site was kept safe and tidy throughout and everyone involved took great care to follow our instructions when working in our grounds. We are really pleased with the end result and would recommend this company without hesitation.

I would start by saying that we cannot recommend RP Wood highly enough and would be delighted to show any interested parties the work they have done for us and talk through our experiences. Our architect recommended RP Wood. Paul was very impressive in our initial meeting and immediately put us at ease about what was, for us, a major project and something we had not done before. He also kept to all of his timeline with regards to the initial submission of quotes etc (this was not true for most of the other recommended companies) and his excellent responsiveness was constant throughout the project and very important. If you are looking for a high-quality firm to undertake your renovation project I cannot recommend RP Wood highly enough. Paul and Richard have a fantastic team who not only deliver high quality outcomes but were also a pleasure to work with.

RP Construction Testimonial Complete Renovation and update of Farmhouse West Bretton From the out-set we were very impressed with Paul and Richards professionalism and enthusiasm for the project, giving two nervous customers confidence that they understood what we were attempting to achieve for a full renovation and extension of the family farmhouse. The project was split in to 2 parts with the first part being the complete renovation of the original farmhouse and the 2nd part being the addition of the kitchen extension. RP provided an end to end service meaning we only dealt with Paul for all aspects of the project, this was important to us as we wanted a fixed price and a single point of contact. We wanted to simply be handed the keys and able to move in, RP more than delivered on this promise. The guidance we received during the renovation was invaluable, Paul’s ability to say nothing when we were on the wrong track, meant we avoided many mistakes! Countering this was the daily communication we received with ideas of how to make the finished look unique and retain the character of the farmhouse whilst modernising it into a family friendly home. The house renovation was completed on time and as planned we moved into the house whilst the kitchen extension was completed. This process, again, was well managed with us barely aware of the works happening outside. The finished look is exactly what we had hoped for. We also can’t speak highly enough about RP’s employee and sub-contractors, we were nervous about bringing unknown people onto a working farm, but we would recommend all the contractors who work for RP. Special mention must go to Brian who is a master of his craft, and apologies once again from our farm dog for the theft of your pork pies!!
