Syze Developments Ltd

This is the second time I have engaged with Syze to deliver a redevelopment/refurbishment project. Si listened to the brief and produced a design that met our needs and budget. Once again, his team (John/Shane/Adam/Matt) have brought their craftsmanship and care to bear; project delivered on time, budget and to a terrific standard. Syze is my go to for all development work.

We are really happy with the quality of the work that Syze completed. They managed the onsite team of trades well and we had an open and honest dialogue throughout the build. We had several complications to the project such as asbestos removal that required specialist removal, which they managed well. We would use Syze again for future projects.

We had a Two storey, first floor rear extension completed by Syze. We have been very impressed with the workmanship throughout and the professionalism shown. We lived in the property throughout the build with our 2 small children and dog and the team were very considerate, clean and tidy. The main team (Sean, John and Adam) worked tirelessly to ensure a high quality finish. They helped inform decisions as we went along and any unforeseen amendments to the build were rectified swiftly. We are extremely happy with the final product.

This is a really hard one to give a star rating to. So the house is a complete rebuild inside and upstairs. He actually told us that we would only have enough money to do the bottom and one room upstairs. As it happens a metal beam, an extra hole and old brickwork that needed to be changed meant that when we moved back in a year later there kitchen was ready to use but no bathrooms, no flooring ...it was desperate times. However, I'm not sure I can blame Simon for that. The work that he had done was excellent but he had no money left and I had nothing to give. That was July. It is now May and he has come back and finished our guttering. He has also had temporary steps to our patio and back door made. He has also sent someone to put in fans in the toilets that were required for completion. None of this I have paid extra for. It's taken a really long time to get those things done but he's done them. Currently we have a leak in the underfloor heating...he's looking into it

Simon and his team were a pleasure to work with. Simon was an excellent communicator and kept us well informed throughout the process. He has skilled, trustworthy specialists that he brought in for architectural services, plumbing, air source heat pump and underfloor heating for our home. Highly recommend!

This project involved a number of building processes including demolition, foundation and brickwork, roofing, carpentry, heating and electrics. Simon at Syze Developments provided a very skilled team who were able to work to the Architect's Design and keep to the Planning and Building Control requirements. We were kept informed throughout the project on all aspects of the work and are absolutely delighted with the finished result which exceeded our expectations. As with most projects inevitable issues did arise but these were all dealt with both effectively and professionally.

They completed a 2nd storey, tandem garage conversion, rear extension, three new bathrooms and a new kitchen, and whole-of-house refurbishment. The workmanship was spot on and the fitters John, Jay and Shane each brought their individual strengths the project each with millimetre perfect work. The builder brought forward several suggestions that improved the original design, bringing the porch forward, as well has having a rear vaulted ceiling in the rear open plan area and moving the cloakroom to a better location. The contracted electrician, Craig showed great attention to detail and ensured the +50 downlighters installed on the ground floor were perfectly placed to give good illumination as well as symmetry. All the trades brought-in were top-notch. Covid 19 caused havoc with the schedule; the result was worth the wait.

With virtually no input from the Spa company as they have never installed one in ground or indoors, ours was always going to be a difficult build. However no one envisaged just how difficult it would prove, digging a pit for a Swimspa in the wettest February on record followed by a worldwide pandemic. They had to overcome major build issues, supply issues, a stressed client and a few heated debates along the way. What the core team managed to achieve really is quite exceptional. The quality of the build and finish, tidiness of Shane's team (considering this was maintained over a prolonged period of time is a testament to the tradesmen and their pride in their work). Their design and problem solving over key issues invaluable. Help and advice on mid build amendments and the addition of a bespoke glass cloakroom ensured the end result has proved to be a beautiful and life changing addition to our home. I would not hesitate to recommend Simon, Shane and the team.

We have now had our bathroom, kitchen and most recently our loft converted by Simon and the team. The first two projects were finished on time and with great results and we are very happy customers. The final project for the loft conversion has been challenging, we had 2 huge hurricanes and Covid 19 since February so extremely challenging times but I can say they adapted to each headache we all faced through no fault of their own and kept me updated on all the changes to the project and timelines due to Covid 19. Very happy with the final result and happy would recommend them without hesitation for anyone looking at forthcoming projects in their home.

I already used them earlier in the year so we knew we were in good hands for our kitchen. As expected, top work from the team delivered yet again, so important to be safe in the knowledge they will do what they say they will do. Will only be calling one company when the loft needs to be converted later this year. Highly recommended.

The results weren't good... THEY WERE OUTSTANDING! This builder is at the top of his game. He will not only project manage an entire refurbishment (cheaper than paying an architect) but he'll ensure quality materials through preferred suppliers and quality workmanship using only the best and most skilled and professional tradesmen. These guys were on site for 3 months whilst we remained in residence... they were lovely chaps and will be missed now works are complete.

Great company / team to work with. Quote was not the cheapest or most expensive but work finished to highest quality. Great range of skills within the team to have a full end to end project delivery. Great problem solving skills that were needed along the way and very patient with constant changes by myself to build. Happy to get work done on Sat and sun to ensure agreed project delivery date was met. I recommend listening to these guys, they know their stuff and look after the customer. 100% recommend / and will use again!!.
