Waterstreet Construction were regional winners of the Heritage Project category at the FMB South West Master Builder Awards 2017.
They were given the award for an exceptional barn conversion. The antique barn was first planned for full renovation, however a tree growing in it's foundations meant that it was not possible. The team at Waterstreet, however, perservered and knocked the building down, reclaiming most of the original materials from it to construct an entirely new building. About Us
Waterstreet Construction was started in 1988 by father & son team of Colin & Mark Griffin. We carry out a full range of building work ranging from new house building to repair and renovation of all domestic buildings.
The company specialises in working in local stone hamstone and blue lias and much of its work is concerned with listed buildings. Waterstreet was awarded Certificates of Merit in both the 1999 and 2002 Master Builder of the Year competitions.
In 2008 the firm was the South West Regional winner in the Medium Renovations Projects category of the Master Builder of the Year Competition. All three awards were for work on listed buildings in hamstone.
We undertake roofing in all types of tile and slate. We are also approved contractors for Polyroof Ltd and offer a number of liquid applied glass fibre membrane solutions to both domestic and commercial flat roofs which all have guarantees between 10 and 20 years depending on the particular product. Our most recent project in this field was a 650 square metre factory flat roof.
We are based in Martock, Somerset, and work throughout the South West.
