The client's vision was to transform their living space, embracing a modern, eco-friendly approach. To achieve this, Woodstone1 was brought in to embark on a comprehensive extension project. This involved reimagining their home with an extension that focussed on creating a new kitchen, complete with an inviting breakfast area, enhancing the ambiance with outdoor lighting, and expanding the utility room with a striking solid oak facade, all in line with an environmentally efficient design.

Woodstone1 was commissioned to transform a characterful detached family home in Sheriff Hutton through a comprehensive renovation. The project involved removing the existing conservatory and replacing it with a beautifully crafted, bespoke Accoya timber orangery. A new oak-framed porch was added to enhance the property’s entrance, alongside the replacement of all external windows and doors. Inside, the home underwent a complete top-to-bottom refurbishment, including the installation of new bathrooms, a modern kitchen, and a custom-designed staircase to complement the updated interiors.

Woodstone1 worked to create a seamless extension that preserved the cottage’s traditional character while introducing contemporary functionality. The carefully designed extension complements the existing structure, enhancing the living space while maintaining architectural harmony. Inside, a full remodel updated key areas with high-quality materials and bespoke finishes, creating a refined aesthetic. Large glazed elements and strategic design choices maximise natural light, giving the home a bright and airy feel. Energy-efficient upgrades, including enhanced insulation and new windows, improve comfort and sustainability. By blending craftsmanship with modern design, Woodstone1 delivered a home that honours its heritage while embracing contemporary living.
