Last week I met with Christina Tabor MCIPS, the Procurement and Contracts Manager for North East Lincs Local Authority to discuss their upcoming Capital Works Framework which is live from today, 24 October, 2023. This pipeline of work is a great opportunity for our members local to the Grimsby area to become ‘approved contractors’.

What type of work is needed?

Equans Services Limited are acting on behalf of North-East Lincolnshire Council and looking for for the renewal with the relevant experience for its capital works framework. The works to be carried out under this framework focus on repairs, maintenance, refurbishment, new capital projects and extensions to Authority owned assets, as well as their leisure portfolio and schools/academies.

The works will involve both internal and external construction to council assets including:

  • buildings
  • site works
  • substructure
  • superstructure
  • internal construction and finishes
  • electrical, mechanical, and access systems

This framework is being awarded based quality of work, which is why they are keen to source FMB members for the job. The Authority wants to ensure that it permits the right quality of contractors to deliver projects.
