I am delighted to introduce myself as your new Hub Director for the Central Region. As a former owner of an FMB member company, I am excited to step into this new role and serve as your regional advocate. 

Navigating the Construction Landscape 

Before joining the FMB staff, I spent nearly two decades where you are - navigating the unique challenges and rewards that come with running a small company in this huge industry.  

I understand the issues you face daily – managing staff, coping with price fluctuations, maintaining customer relationships, adapting to tightening regulations and finding the time to do it all.  

I will also never forget the pride that comes with a job well done. Our proudest moment as a member was becoming the national winner in the Heritage Category of the Master Builder Awards in 2019.  

It's these experiences that enable me to empathise with your position, and I believe effectively represent your interests and support your business.  

Deepening Engagement with the FMB 

Over the years, I've also been involved in the workings of the FMB. My time on the Central Area Board and as the region’s National Board Representative, has given me valuable insight into the aims and values of this organisation and has reinforced my belief in the FMB's mission to champion the interests of SME construction companies like yours. 

I also understand the important but sometimes difficult role of staying informed and up to date on changes and innovations within the construction industry. As part of my role, I aim to bring relevant information and insights to you and make them applicable to your business. 

Running your own business can be an isolating experience and it is my intention to bring Master Builders closer together to share ideas and learn from the experience and challenges of others.
