At a glittering ceremony in London, local interior design and building company, Project One, collected a highly prestigious industry award at the Federation of Master Builders’ (FMB), Master Builder Awards 2017 on Friday, 15th September.
Nick Knowles, TV presenter and building enthusiast, handed the award for best Kitchen or Bathroom Project to the company for its stunning work on a luxurious townhouse overlooking Penarth Marina. Project One designed and installed a contemporary and sleek lifestyle kitchen, complete with a show-stopping runway breakfast bar, created to draw the eye towards the fantastic view of the harbour.
Chief Executive of the FMB, Brian Berry, said: “The installation works brilliantly, through a variety of different design elements, to give a sense of flow and movement and reflect the ebb and flow of the harbour. This is enhanced by the seven-zone lighting system which is an innovative way of creating separate spaces to suit different moods”.
Thrilled with their new home, Project One’s client, Simon and Allun, told us that Project One turned the initial brief on its head. Instead of carrying out an attic bedroom conversion as originally planned, it recommended completely modifying the middle floor, moving the kitchen away from the street side of the building and taking down all the interconnecting walls to maximise the light and create more space.
The 13th Master Builder Awards, is a nationwide search by the FMB to find the best builders in Britain, taking into account the builders’ technical ability together with their customer service skills.
