A restructure of the Construction Leadership Council (CLC), the leading coordinating body for UK construction, has seen the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) take a seat on the Steering Co-ordination Group.

Brian Berry, Chief Executive of the FMB, said: “It is important that the whole of the construction industry can help set the strategic direction and influence the policies and activities of the CLC, so I am pleased that the repair, maintenance and improvement sector, and small builders, have been recognised with a seat at the table.”

Berry concluded: “The industry’s response to Covid-19 has demonstrated the clear value of collaboration. As we build back better – and greener – from its impacts, it is right that the contribution of the SME sector has been established. I look forward to working with my sector colleagues and the Government to lead and transform this great industry.”
