On the 9 December 2023 a dinner dance was held with friends and family of the FMB Sutton Branch. This event is held annually and brings members together to network and celebrate the Christmas festivities. The evening was also a chance to honour 5 key FMB members with testimonial certificates. The certificates were a gesture of gratitude for all the work they have done over the years to support the FMB and SME construction.

These honours are rarely handed out by the Federation so it’s a great achievement for any member to receive.

The celebrated members were (click the arrows to cycle through the presentations):

  • David Hughes for his work as FMB Kingston Branch chairman
  • Steve Newland for his work as FMB Croydon Branch chairman
  • Michael Lyons for his work as FMB Sutton Branch chairman
  • Jack Coles for his work as FMB Sutton Branch chairman
  • Barrie Roach for his work as FMB Sutton Branch chairman

The event was organised by Philip and Marina at Roach Brothers Ltd and raised over £2000 for the Royal Marsden Cancer Hospital in Sutton.
