Birkby Construction Ltd is a family business based in Maidstone, Kent. The Birkby family has been in the building trade for around 90 years and Birkby Construction itself was formed about 12 years ago when the company branched out into the commercial sector, constructing industrial, warehouse and office units.
Birkby Construction is a ISO9001 registered company, so we have the management skills and procedures in place to ensure a quality outcome on all our projects. We are fully committed to delivering quality construction projects within agreed timescale.
Birkby Construction offer a complete design and build service, acting as a one-stop contractor. We can complete all the structural, planning compliances and architectural works in-house, ensuring that the finished project will be handed over completly ready for occupation (including hard and soft landscaping).
We also provide a build only service if preferred and can work alongside the clients design team. We are happy to offer input and advice with the knowledge we have gained from previous projects.
Contracts vary from £5,000, to a maximum of £5m, servicing both the commercial and domestic sectors.
Birkby also have a maintenance department that mainly work in the commercial sector. Their previous clients include Bourne Leisure, Kent County Council, Milroy Developments, Medway Borough Council and numerous industrial estates.
Our maintenance department has Gas Safe Accreditation including Propane so we can carry out all domestic and commercial certification, servicing and new installations.
Should a development be a combination of commercial and domestic we are able to offer NHBC services enabling the client the choice of letting or selling. Birkby Construction Ltd are Kent County Council Approved Contractors and are long-standing members of the Federation of Master Builders.
