The Blackwood Building team were excellent, easy to deal with and professional from start to finish. When we hit the inevitable challenges of adding a large extension to an old house, Joss always provided clear guidance, brought solutions and we agreed fairly on any extras outside of the original plans and scope (which were minimal in the end). Blackwood building contractor built our extension in April 2022 and we could not speak highly enough of them the finish is first class, David and Joss were so easy to work with nothing was to much trouble . I would highly recommend David and Joss at Blackwood building contractors. Blackwood undertook the complete renovation of our grade 2 listed property, from stripping out the whole cottage, installing underfloor heating through out, a complete rewire, increasing the insulation and tacking all the walls and ceilings, plastering, installation of family bathroom, en suite and downstairs w/c, all aspects of 1st & 2nd fix carpentry and completely decorating the whole house. From start to finish David and Joss made the interactions between our designated architect, subcontractors and them selves seamless. They went above and beyond to ensure smooth running of the job and that we as clients were happy and kept well informed. I can’t fault the workmanship and attention to detail, plus they are extremely tidy. My wife and I would highly recommend Blackwood. Thank you for turning our house into a home. - Charley Halsey

We had Blackwood builders in to knock down multiple structural and non structural walls and to install around 6/7 steels. They then fitted a Wren kitchen/ utility room for us. They did a great job start to finish and we were pleased with how tidy they kept the house. Even though we were not living there for most of the work we were so glad it was always kept tidy. Their team were great at answering any questions we had (and we had a lot) and always kept us informed for the next stages of the build. Unfortunately we had some issues with multiple components to the kitchen on delivery from wren but Joss & Dave got the issues / missing units sorted quickly. - Charlotte Griffith
