One of our most recent Projects has been the refurbishment of the science block at Queensmead School in Middlesex. Appointed main contractor for the refurbishment we took their requirements and designed a 10 room state of the art science block using the existing 40 year old building shell.The £1.6m project from inception was designed and constructed in a fast track six month programme and the successfully completed science block was handed over on time for Half Term in October 2008.We worked closely with the school in the design and functionality of the block to meet the school requirements and expectations. State of the art Air Handling systems were installed to provide optimum studying environment together with lifts for the movement of dangerous chemicals for technician use.Classrooms were designed to provide maximum flexibility in layout for studying.
