“We have used Butterworth Cox for the last 15 years whenever we have needed any building work carried out, and have always been extremely satisfied with the results. The work is always carried out in a timely manner to an extremely high standard and to budget. David Cox is a perfectionist and treats every piece of work as if he were doing it for himself. Our most recent project was to double the size of our sitting room without it looking like an extension from the inside. This including putting a chimney breast and fireplace where the services came down from the en-suite directly above, and blending in the new wooden floor with the existing boards.” David and the specialist trades he uses could not be more polite and considerate and always recognise that they are working in your home and therefore do everything they can to minimise the impact and inconvenience on your everyday life. Also, he will not allow anyone working on site to use bad language or have loud radios.

BC were selected following a tender process, and a JCT form of contract was used. They had come highly recommended by the previous owners. The work involved the refitting of three shower rooms, the replacement of some wall (in lime plaster) and floor finishes, and the liming of the exposed beams. BC's crew were a pleasure to deal with, executing the work with a minimum of fuss, and making sensible suggestions along the way. The work was finished on time and on budget the week before lockdown. We are delighted with every aspect of BC's work.

We engaged Butterworth Cox as our builders because we knew of the quality of work from previous local contracts. The project was on time, to budget and delivered to a very high standard. We added extra work to the project as we went and all was handled in the same professional high finish way. Everyone who visits my elderly Mum's new home in our garden loves it. They all marvel at how perfect it is. Whilst BC continues building, we'd never use anyone else. Having David Cox running a project is a joy.
